PREAMBLE
Whereas the staff of the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) has found it desirable to organize and establish an Association to promote and seek the welfare of its members.
We the members of staff of the above Institute do hereby adopt and give to ourselves this By-Laws for the management of the ASSOCIATION.
OBJECTIVES
The SWA shall endeavour for the fulfilment in particular of the following objects:
- To promote staff welfare.
- To promote ethical and professional standards among the staff members to achieve the mission and goals of the Institute.
- To value leadership, diversity, integrity, and teamwork.
- To promote unity, solidarity and mutual cooperation among staff members.
- To provide a safe, open forum for discussion of staff-related issues or concerns.
- To serve as a representative of its members and as a good faith communicator for staff matters to assess, prioritize, communicate and resolve staff grievances/needs to the Institute Authority.
- To encourage and assist staff members in their pursuit of professional development in order to impact the system of the Institute in a positive manner.
- To support a safe and respectful work environment.
- To establish means of assisting members in case of bereavement, sickness, or accident.
- To organize cultural, recreational, well-being and sports activities to foster all-round developments of members and their families.
